Taurus Full Moon: November 8th, 2022Healing Arts
Happy November! It is a Taurus full moon this month – a total lunar eclipse (blood moon) coming up on Tuesday the 8th! A total lunar eclipse is when the earth comes between the sun and a full moon and totally blocks the sun´s direct rays from lighting up the moon! So, in a way it goes from light to dark, kind of like a yin and yang effect: I believe this moment in planetary movement can offer us some insight into our own psyche and the health and balance of it compared also with the collective. (One day I will write a longer post about my feelings about lunar eclipses and science meeting psyche or spirit).
Anyways, it is an intense time for some of us who might feel a lot – as you can imagine going from light to dark with the eclipse it a lot of contrast, ya know? Check out the video representation of the eclipse, you´ll feel me more!
The full moon is in Taurus, so at least we have some earthly stability with the eclipse possibly giving us some heightened or total contrast energy — this can be challenging for some and that is normal given the big shifts above. We have the same stallium with the full Moon as last month with our super loyal True Node and Uranus this month all in Taurus earth goodness. Our continued True Node in Taurus is so secure!!! Seeking those earthy things to ground us in time and supported by the moon and Uranus in Taurus, too. Our schedule´s need for security and structure perhaps (Uranus) and a perhaps natural ability to feel our emotions (moon) in a grounded and secure way.
The full moon is opposite of the Sun stallium with Venus and Mercury in Scorpio! It is dynamic with the opposing watery depth of Scorpio energy which is so deep and underworldly/emotional – all the feelings, wisdom, darkness & transformation are some common themes of Scorpio. Scorpio is one of the toughest signs, but I like it so much because they just know. Scorpio just knows, the wise soul. It is a tough energy because they feel so much and so we gotta be gentle with ourselves with this contrast along with the lunar eclipse also! It is a lot going on up there, so a lot of us down here feel it and maybe not – but man, can it be helpful to have some knowledge, reflect, and embrace ourselves. For me, sometimes knowing all this stuff is not always helpful and sometimes it really is and gives me some heavier feet on this earth. To reason and talk with the stars is a practice of mine since a child. They speak my language and sometimes I would only prefer to talk to them over humans – do not get me wrong. None of this information needs to define us, but can be a helpful hand or guidance.
The Scorpio sun reflects and challenges us within our personality — like.. wait, is this me? Being all wise and stuff and ugh I do not feel like transforming because it is so uncomfortable!! It truly is — perhaps something is trying to shed from our personality and the goal is to stay present in that process if we can — and we have the support of Venus and Mercury, too so it´s cake, right?! Ha!
Venus might get us in a more comfy transformation in that we can feel the pull to be intimate with ourselves or others close to us — talk it out, hang out, share feelings, etc. and Mercury, our mind helps us to think more deeply and creatively about what we are feeling this full Moon and the changes we might be undergoing, too. Drawing it out on paper, using colors, etc., to express a felt sense, something that might not have words — this can be helpful this full Moon leading up to it and perhaps afterward, too!
I also want to talk about Jupiter — because who doesn´t?? I recently have been studying more and more about Jupiter and NASA photos — click it if you would like to explore! I love Jupiter with my whole heart. It is in Pisces, which is so needed this full moon – with all the watery and earthy energies of Taurus and Scorpio, we really need to see the bigger picture – and literally, as I typed those very words, I looked outside and saw an eagle! The cool thing is that the Pisces Jupiter is such a gentle bear of LOVE and grace – just nudging us a little to remember the bigger picture of all we feel – Jupiter is like a savior I feel in so many ways, a hero to humans suffering. Jupiter is just that – a healer. Jupiter keeps our love warm because look at him!
Remember to keep swimming
Big love to Jupiter this full Moon.
WORD FOR THIS FULL MOON:
MANTRA FOR THIS FULL MOON:
Just keep swimming.
A few highlights/tips for this full moon that might help support you:
☾☽ With the Sun Scorpio stallium, it can be helpful to talk to someone you trust or a therapist about your feelings and get it off your chest.
☾☽ Again with that Taurus earth in True Node this month. Small earthy pleasures are here to uplift us! What are they for you this full moon? For me, it is sea shells.
☾☽ With Mercury in Scorpio — Art Therapy helps and heals! Specifically with the watery-ness = watercolors. Self-mastery is not the goal here.
☾☽ Stay gentle with your specific state of well-being – the lunar eclipse is big energy! Pull on Taurus earth — do some ¨doing¨ moving your body, sitting outside this beautiful early November – November is for remembering — who — we — are through nature.
Let´s keep swimming and one day, we will put the stars to shame.
Thank you so much for stopping by at My True North Astrology.
Big love, transformation, forgiveness, love… all of it,

Friendly reminder (disclaimer): Please note that the purpose of the above blog post is to share some insights and themes I personally came to understand through the study of astrology around the full moon. Remember that we all feel the full moon differently and so you may not resonate with everything I wrote in this post. As always, dismiss anything that does not resonate with you or help you. It is also important to note that the information in this post cannot act as a substitute for any kind of therapy with a licensed professional or replace your personal self-care practices, however, can add to it or complement it. My intention is simply to aid in your experience of the full moon by providing some information I have personally gathered based on my studies in astrology while also adding some of my personality and personal information so that you can compare it with your own astrology information as I find this very helpful. It is helpful to get to know my relationship with the stars and planets so that you have something to compare your own relationship with your natal chart/stars and planets as well. I find this very helpful in the way I teach and share astrology. I also think sharing a little bit about myself helps me to connect with you!
