Aquarius Full Moon: August 11th, 2022Healing Arts
It is an Aquarius full moon this month – supermoon (full sturgeon moon) coming up tomorrow on the 11th… and I am sliding into this post barely. Ekkkk! I have a weird schedule… I blame it on Uranus.
Oh! What a great transition to the Aquarius full moon… because Aquarius rules Uranus. Aquarius is at home on Uranus where they can be weird and ¨doing their own thing¨ together, unapologetically. This Aquarius full moon is super special because it shares a close neighbor with Saturn also in Aquarius! One way to look at this little-big deal stallium is the way we feel (moon – emotional body) connecting to our work, whatever that is (Saturn). And, this stallium is across from the Sun in Leo making for an air/fire contrast – and since they are considered opposite signs on top of being opposing… can feel confusing. To marry the two, or get them to work together, for me lies in individuality. Whatever we do, we can only do it our way and no one can be us. It does not matter if I am a waitress, a therapist, an artist, a construction worker, a cleaning lady, or a chef, whatever role I am or what my work is I can find a way (Aquarius) to learn and evolve and I will be the only one doing my work the way I do, for I am the only me (Leo). It seems pretty obvious, but sometimes we need the reminder.
So, the stars and I are doing our job to remind you, and what a precious reminder!
Aquarius promotes change and the collective while thinking outside of the box, while the Leo Sun is like ¨chill¨ I am fine just being myself in the world and that should be good enough – I should feel safe to be me and the world or the collective benefits greatly! The Leo Sun innately knows this! It sounds simple, but it is a tough job.
WORD FOR THIS FULL MOON:
MANTRA FOR THIS FULL MOON:
I can let my fire star burn, but not burn out.
Touching a little upon each of the other planets this full moon, we have Mercury in Virgo which may feel like our minds are more focused on detail. The Virgo Mercury is hanging out there solo, so it might feel that way: thinking a lot on our own, good time for thought. Letting our minds think, and even though Mercury is not neighboring any other planets super closely… I do not get the lonely feeling. Our minds are a wonder place and Mercury is always so strong in supporting our minds, no matter its trajectory. (In my opinion – however, I am a big Mercury lover so maybe I am biased but I feel it solid no matter what – thanks Mercury).
Venus in Leo, but so close to Cancer cusp, has it feeling a little cozy lion cubby. I am loving it on the other side of the sun. I want to mention a little bit more about Venus – it is the planet of love and intimate relationships. I like to write about Venus in a way that is also contemplative and not absolute due to the complexity that is intimacy. Because let´s be real! Intimacy of any kind is an ongoing learning process, and it is always changing – so dynamic. Please read my posts about Venus as a way to be curious about what you like or need in the realm of intimacy, and not solely focus on comparing yourself, lack, or failure – and this goes for intimacy with ourselves, too! I believe Venus holds all levels of intimacy with others closest to us and with ourselves – it however does not always pertain to acquaintances or certain friendships. Think intimate and closeness.
With this Venus, we might feel bold in our intimacy (Leo) while also nurturing (Cancer). Lots of emotions here with Leo & Cancer.
Everything else is pretty much on repeat from last month´s full moon, giving us a little ease in change.
A few highlights/tips for this full moon that might help support you:
☾☽ Do not burn out your star – let it burn: prioritize self-care! What does that look like for you this month?
☾☽ Again with that Taurus earth in True Node this month. Small earthy pleasures are here to uplift us! What are they for you this full moon? For me lately, my appliances – I travel around, yet I manage to bring with me: my blender, and a crock pot among other things, and I appreciate how they make my lifestyle more manageable/sustainable.
☾☽ Be curious about intimacy if it feels right.
☾☽ Keep a strong mind (Mercury) and you are so fine (Leo) you are also pretty weird, too (Aquarius) and collectively we are one.
That is my entry for the August Full Moon! I hope you liked it and please as always, check back in each month for a new full moon post – I am so sorry I am not super consistent on when I post them but do expect one a month!

Friendly reminder (disclaimer): Please note that the purpose of the above blog post is to share some insights and themes I personally came to understand through the study of astrology around the full moon. Remember that we all feel the full moon differently and so you may not resonate with everything I wrote in this post. As always, dismiss anything that does not resonate with you or help you. It is also important to note that the information in this post cannot act as a substitute for any kind of therapy with a licensed professional or replace your personal self-care practices, however, can add to it or complement it. My intention is simply to aid in your experience of the full moon by providing some information I have personally gathered based on my studies in astrology while also adding some of my personality and personal information so that you can compare it with your own astrology information as I find this very helpful. It is helpful to get to know my relationship with the stars and planets so that you have something to compare your own relationship with your natal chart/stars and planets as well. I find this very helpful in the way I teach and share astrology. I also think sharing a little bit about myself helps me to connect with you!
